Gathering under the peaks of National Park Gesäuse in the Emma Wanderer Campus, our team recently unified in Austria for our third workation in a row! 

The Metaloop team spans the globe – from Mexico to Austria, so this event was a unique opportunity to put faces to names, strengthen relationships, and foster a stronger sense of unity.

Our Workation Activities

We dedicated time to both work and connection and here's a glimpse into the activities:

🚣‍♂️ Rafting: similar to navigating international logistics, we navigated the exhilarating waters of the Enns River, reinforcing the importance of teamwork and adaptability.

🎲 Board Games and Campfire: mixed work and play with fun board games and conversations around the campfire. 

🗻 Looking Forward Sessions: dedicated time to aligning our efforts and principles for a unified perspective of the future.

“This was our best workation yet! As a remote employee, I really value these opportunities to get to know my colleagues in person, and I spent a lot of time getting to know everyone on a deeper level. We set out our goals for the coming year and I came home feeling excited for the future,” says Manuel Valentine, our Senior Delivery Manager, who has been to all three of our workations… and many more to come, we hope!

And what do our newest team members think? 

Karoline Macedo, our proud and fresh addition to the Data team, “loved the opportunity to meet the people responsible for making Metaloop such a great company."

“It's not always easy to connect in an ever growing international team, which is why such a trip is so influential. Seeing our new and old team members meet, share stories around the campfire and move as one while rafting makes my heart full and glad that I am a part of the company that sees value in organizing such an event.”

We already see the positive impact this experience has on our work, and we can’t wait for the next opportunity for all of us to meet.
